This website and its owners take a proactive approach to user privacy and ensure the necessary steps are taken to protect the privacy of its users throughout their visiting experience.
GDPR
Passwords - all passwords are encrypted for every account. This means we do not have access to users passwords and can only reset them to default. Users must change their passwords from the default to access their account to ensure security
Data security - Our website is built in Thinkific and uses all the security functions within the site. We also use DropBox to share files within the Training-by-Eos team. Access permissions within DropBox mean that only those with a business reason to access your data can do so.
Sharing data - we NEVER share data with companies or individuals external to Training-by-Eos.
Payments - all payments are taken via PayPal or Stripe and we DO NOT receive any credit or debit card details from them. Data we do receive includes a payment confirmation number to enable us to set up your instant account access, your name, email address and postal address for accounting purposes. We will only contact you with information regarding your purchase.
Processing of your Personal Data: Blog Subscribers - Subscription to our Blog must be actively be carried out by a user. We collect your email address and subscription date. We use this to send you our blog updates automatically. We will continue to do this until you withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or it is determined your consent no longer exists. We do not share your information with third parties. See further information under Blog Updates below.
Processing of your Personal Data: Students who have purchased tuition material ('students'). Purchase of tuition must be actively carried out by a user. We will collect a payment confirmation number, email address and your postal address. This information is accessible to only the highest users of our systems. Some students will submit mock exams as part of their tuition, these are available to only those responsible for arranging marking, marking and reviewing marking, along with a register of names. Marking keys and results are available to the same group. This data is kept until you tell us that you have passed the Case Study exam.
Processing of your Personal Data: Learning Analytics. We record and collate learning data to actively support students registered on a course with timetabled material release and submissions. This data includes the dates and times you access course pages, lesson completion rates and the IP address of the device you logged in with. This data is collated with student submitted information – for example mark feedback documents, quiz answers, survey answers, assignments and mock exam scripts – to build learning analytic data. This data is used to support individual students, groups or whole exam cohorts. Use of Email Addresses
If you have supplied your email address as part of your use of the Application, Training-by-Eos (“EOS”) may, subject to UK law, occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with relevant “EOS” related news and information on our services. We primarily use our blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum and relevant. Subscribers are given the opportunity to un-subscribe at any time through an automated system. This process is detailed at the footer of each email. The location data is collected in background continuously even when the app is not running on the device in the foreground. You can deactivate location services in the settings of the Application or on your device at any time.
